for google. first, i found the paper very helpful. very helpful in explaining how google works, what the nature of the market is, what the various mcnisms available for competitors against google are. it's paper and i recommend it to all of you in the audience. i've been watching this session on c-span and they -- the panelists are good. but they spend a lot of time showing the audience. so i think i've seen all of you in the audience. and i'm looking -- right now on c-span is showing the audience. so it's been great. and you didn't even get me a seat. they got a side camera that shows there is no seat there. you took the seat away. at any rate, the paper is very helpful in that regard. i think it's thorough. very useful for thinking about the various criticisms that goosm's competitors and others -- google's competitors and verse have made about google. i urge you all to read it. i have one principal criticism of the paper. and i hesitate -- i really hesitate to criticize the paper by bob bork a

if you go into google and you type in a search for something personal like prostate cancer, google stores that search and less to tell them otherwise not to. if you are part of a group of facebook -- maybe it is a religious group or what ever it is. facebook has that knowledge. i do not think a lot of people are aware that these things are happening. i recently last year had to go on a television show and explain how to change your privacy settings on facebook. i could not figure it out. i am a technology reporter who is excessively on line and i could not figure out how to change my facebook privacy settings. a lot of people are unaware of the things happening when they are on these websites. the companies like google and facebook and all of these companies benefit from that because they can deliver advertising. they get to store all of this data and make money off of that. there is a lot of push back from them. i think it is pretty apparent that there needs to be some kind of oversight to say that people need to have access to their content and information and to be able to delete it fr
